Don’t miss this fantastic, fun event with live music, great food and an awesome live auction. Fetch A Cure is an incredible organization—one worthy of your support!

Inspired by Richmond’s highly successful Go Fish project of 2001, Pups on Parade 2009, is a fundraising project involving dog sculptures that are groomed and transformed into a works of art that become part of an outdoor art display that moves around town. ALL of the proceeds from our Pups on Parade 2009 programs will be devoted to Canines in Crisis, a program created to support our less fortunate pets whose families cannot afford treatment and medication.

Of course this event is dog friendly so don’t forget to buy tickets for your dog date too (pet sitting available)!

woofstock09_lgI am so upset that I’m going to miss RAL’s Woofstock Festival this coming weekend!

Alas, I have a family commitment taking me out of town. (Revealing the fact that I’d rather spend the day with a bunch of dogs than attend a family wedding just won’t cut it.)

If you can help it, don’t miss Woofstock, the family-friendly dog festival on Richmond’s historic Monument Avenue Saturday, May 30th! Complete with strut your mutt walk, doggie contests, dog agility, kids fun area, vendors, food, and live music, it’s “the most fun you can have with your leash on!”

All funds raised from Woofstock go to support the mission of the Richmond Animal League (RAL): Saving lives—providing hope, help and homes to animals in need.
